Privacy policy

Driveglot helps learners practice US driving knowledge in English with supporting subtitles. This policy covers driveglot.com and the Driveglot learning app, road-sign games and driving simulator. The public website is a promotional preview; it is separate from your app learning records.

Optional Google Analytics on this website

Google Analytics starts only after you choose Allow analytics. Before that choice, or after Reject optional, our code does not load the Google measurement tag. It helps us understand page visits, demo quiz starts/completions, game-section exploration and support-link clicks. We do not send your quiz answers, study progress, email address, form contents, user ID or URL query/hash to Analytics. Google receives ordinary network information when your browser connects and processes website/device information under Google’s privacy policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

With consent, Google sets first-party _ga cookies to recognize a browser and measure sessions. We configure these cookies to expire after 90 days without rolling renewal. Individual event data retention is set to 2 months; aggregate reports may remain longer under Google’s service rules. Advertising consent remains denied and Google Signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled. Browser Global Privacy Control disables this optional measurement.

Use Privacy choices → Reject optional to withdraw permission. Our code disables Analytics, removes its _ga cookies for this domain and reloads the page to stop the previously loaded tag. This stops future measurement; it does not erase previously collected reports. You can also clear browser cookies/site storage, contact us about applicable privacy rights, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Optional Analytics applies to this promotional website, not the installed learning app.

App data on your device

The app stores your selected state and language, age group (under 18 or 18 and over), optional test date, study goals, question answers, mistakes, per-state activity sessions, practice results and game progress/settings on your device. No exact date of birth or immigration status is requested. Local problem reports may include the state, language, question position, time, issue type and a note you enter. Reports are not automatically sent to support.

These records support your study plan, resume sessions and show progress. The current learning app has no Driveglot account, advertising, tracking SDK or app analytics upload. The separate website measurement is described above. Driveglot does not sell your personal information. Learning records are not uploaded to a Driveglot server by the app.

App Store payment

For a paid iOS download, Apple processes the transaction under its own policies. Driveglot does not receive your card details or Apple Account password and does not run a subscription billing service.

Apple Game Center

The iOS app attempts Game Center authentication at launch. You can dismiss Apple's sign-in screen and continue playing. If you are already signed in, scores and earned achievements can be sent to Apple Game Center automatically as you play. Apple handles the account and may show scores or achievements with your Game Center profile according to its settings. Driveglot does not receive your Apple password. Local reset does not delete Game Center records. Manage Game Center in Apple settings and consult Apple's privacy policy.

Motion and reminders

Optional phone steering uses orientation/motion readings during play to steer the car; the app does not save or upload those readings. You can use touch arrows or a keyboard instead. The native app can schedule an optional local practice notification after you enable reminders and grant notification permission. There is no Driveglot push-notification server. Turn reminders off in the game or disable notifications in device settings.

Web connections and external pages

The installed iOS app bundles learning and game content. The browser version downloads app files and question banks; offline availability depends on previously cached content. When visiting a hosted web version, the hosting provider receives ordinary network information such as IP address, requested URL and browser information. For driveglot.com, Cloudflare hosting and website measurement are described above. Official state links and other external links open third-party services governed by their own policies. Device/browser backups may also preserve local app data under your backup settings.

Contacting support

Contact driveglot@gmail.com. If you choose to email support, your email address, message and attachments are processed by the Driveglot publisher and Google Gmail to answer your request. Please send only the app version, device/browser, selected state/language and a description or screenshot of the problem. Do not send a licence number, government ID, payment details or immigration documents. Support messages are retained for up to 90 days after the request is resolved unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Local records remain until you reset them, remove app/browser data or the system clears storage. Exam history is limited to the latest 30 exams and local reports to the latest 100 reports. In Progress, Reset learning progress removes learning progress and unfinished sessions but retains study preferences and local reports. In Games, About → Reset all progress removes the listed game progress records; it does not reset learning records or Apple Game Center. To remove all local reports and preferences as well, clear this site's browser data or delete the installed app (rather than offloading it). Manage device backups separately. The publisher cannot restore local progress that has been deleted.

You can contact support about privacy, request deletion of support correspondence or exercise applicable access/correction/deletion rights. Records kept only on your device are not accessible to the publisher. No Driveglot account exists to delete.

Young learners and changes

Driveglot is a driving-study product, not a service directed to children under 13. No child profile, name or contact information is requested. If a child has sent personal information to support, contact us to request its removal. We update this policy when app data practices change and display the updated date here.
